Recently, the CIRPtechnical service team has completed the 2023 first dry storage task of spent fuel for Unit 2 of Tianwan NPP through 65 days of hard work in harsh environment with high noises of 80 decibels and heat waves exceeding 45 ℃.
The team compiled dedicated working plans, and strictly followed the procedures predetermined, finally realized zero mistake in the whole operation. During the preparation stage, the team conducted strict and detailed safety hazards inspection on the eight major mechanisms of therefueling machineto ensure its good conditionin the process of spent fuelloading. After loading of spent fuel to the transfer container completed and the water discharged, the team arranged personnel to work in shifts and carry out a series of follow-up works such as sealing, drainage, and drying on the DSC to ensure the the continuous and uninterruptedtransfer work.Throughout the entire transport process, the team members worked closely, and strictly followed the procedural requirements to carry out all works in an orderly manner.
According to theannual working plan, the fuel operation and spent fuel dry storage project team will maintain a dynamic team spirit as well as optimize working processes to ensure high-quality services with high standards, and further contribute to the steady progress of subsequent spent fuel loading and transport work.
