Recently, the first online radiation monitoring system for circulating water pipelines of nuclear heating developed by CIRP has been successfully installed and commissioned on site at Shandong Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant, entering the trial operation phase.
The nuclear heating project at Shandong Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant has a heating area of 30 million square meters, benefiting nearly 1 million local residents. In order to monitor the radiation level of the circulating water in the pipeline during the operation, CIRP research team, in less than a month, developed the first online radiation monitoring system for circulating water pipelines of nuclear heating in China, completed works from physical design, mechanical processing, production, and type approval testing, finally achieved real-time online monitoring and data feedback of gamma radiation levels of the circulating water inside the pipeline.
The development of above product helps ensure the radiation safety of the nuclear heating project, and also contributes CIRP support to the overall green and low-carbon development.
